Living on the Other Side of Fear
In my signature talk, I share my journey of leaving corporate to pursue my entreprenurial dreams. After losing my first business, I faced heartbreaking failure and defeat. I had consumed myself with finding the secret sauce to success, getting swallowed up by every shiny object along my path. Not only did I discover my limiting beliefs but on a deeper level, had uncovered my level of fear and resistance preventing me from taking actionable steps that would help me shift.
Fear is the number one cause of struggle, overwhelm, scarcity, and complacency. Imagine your audience experiencing an instant realization of how their Fear is what prevents them from living the life of their dreams.
Silence Your Inner Critic and Listen to Your Inner Mentor
Ever feel unworthy and undeserving?
For as far back as I can remember, my inner critic has doubted, criticized and put me down every chance it could. My transformational journey was no exception.
Silencing your inner critic refers to the way we speak to ourselves and the brain triggers we experience during hesitation. I ask my clients, would you allow another human being to speak to you the way you speak to you? All of them have answered no. So, then why would we allow our own minds to speak to us this way.
For most of us (my hand is raised) it stemmed from our childhoods, perhaps hearing it from a parent, grandparent, sibling or even a teacher. Your mind is programmed to repeat what it knows, it cannot distinguish between what is real and what isn't. Imagine if you were able to take your audience back to those early moments when negative self talk was first introduced. If none of us had heard those types of negative comments, the inner critic would be silenced and our inner mentor would become our new guide.
